Thread: Utorrent slows down your web browsing ie firefox

thanks for the help but i have a doubt if the bandwidth allocation (in utorrent) is made to high for a particular download, then does it cause the same problem with the web browser's ?

Anything that clogs a lot of bandwidth will slow network access down for the rest of your programs. However, as of this writing, uTorrent has uTP (a.k.a. bandwidth management) enabled by default. This means you should experience less lag even if leeching at full blast because speeds are automatically regulated.

I was experiencing slow web surfing on my iMac. After reading this thread, now I suspect that it is probablly because of bittorrent client on my mac. I will delete it from the machine and will see if it is going to make any difference.

    Thanks, Pendu
