Is there any way to know which films are in this format ?

yeah, look @ the resolution....... widescreen is 16:9 so if ur lookin 4 widescreen movies u should only look 4 those in that ratio......

if ur gonna dl a verified, ad it 2 ur list, then search 4 the file and check 4 the resolution.............. its alot of work i no.......................

No, that's just the aspect ratio of DVD's that doesn't mean it's wide screen u had it right when u said look at the resolution if u see something like 6--x2--or 6--x3-- then that is a widescreen movie.
