Though e-books are great, sometimes I like to have an actual object in my hand.
But they're all really expensive... so any idea where I can get cheap books online or in stores? Maybe used? I don't know.
Give me some clues here

ebay
charity shops are always good for cheap books (though I'm not sure they exist outside of the uk??) although you have to wait for someone to donate something good
Overstock.com has books, as well as half.com and amazon.com.
As far as selection is concerned, you're most likely to find what you're looking for at amazon. However, if you're looking for an obscure or rare title, it may be best to just type the title into a search engine (along with sale, used, book, etc.) and see what comes up.
Try also to look in your local antique shop. They usually have specialized shops for books, where you can find many used and secondhand books in half of the price or so. And book markets are nice places to make a bargain, too.
you can always steal them from the library
I'll be more enthusiastic about encouraging thinking outside the box when there's evidence of any thinking going on inside it. (Terry Prattchet)
may not be right...........but it works and you cant get cheaper than free!
