I never got a email, and no its not in my spam folder. I went to the irc and they said they lost my account. I dont remember who invited me to the site so they are telling me there is nothing they can do.

Yeah, that definitely doesn't sound fishy...
With no disrespect, if you can't remember who invited you then you probably don't deserve to have an account.
