Ps2 Modchip

hi, i was wondering wats the BEST modchip for ps2....and do i need dvdrs to burn ps2 games? can i use cdrs?

IF the game comes in a DVDr you'll need a DVDrecorder otherwise there are a lot of PS2 games that comes in CDr, it depends on the manufacturer of the game...

DMS3 modchip the best out yet has everything and more.

I have it but never installed it becuase i dont have the right wires and just never got around to ordering it. Also becuase it took over 2 months before i got it mabey some day i will install it.

the DMS3 modchip sounds cool...is there like different versions of it? cuz on some site it said DMS3-V2 MODCHIP...anyway do i solder it? because there is this modchip wher you plug it and solder 1 wire...its 10 bux and 2 more questions

1) what is the slide card modchip

2) if i buy a modchip can i burn games/dowload up-coming games and still play them or will i need to buy a newer modchip to play newer games?

DMS3 v2 is the lateast. Yes you have to solder it (32 wires). I dont know what a slide card modchip is but i think its one that goes in the memory card slot and work with pro action(but i really dont know). You can play any game that is a PS2 (cd-r, cd-rw , dvd-r, dvd-rw, imports, homemade) and you dont have to get a newer one you just have to make sure what you want it supports. All of them do tho.

go to this site, it talks about modchips, swipe cards, fliptops, swapmagic discs, no solder modchips, gameshark, burning/backing up PS2 DVDr and CDr games and alot of other stuff.......
