lol, a seedbox is a dedicated server used mainly for seeding and uploading stuff to a bittorrent network. It can be a shared or not shared seedbox :S

A dedicated server can have multiple purposes.

If you are referring to the number of users on a seedbox, it is definitely better to have your own seedbox exclusively for you unless it is a gigabit box shared by 2 people

if you don't have root access to server then it shared regardless what they say to you .

if you rent a dedi server you have access to everything and to create into a seeding server isn't exactly hard to do .
