    Specs :-
    Kimsufi L
    VNC desktop
    Debian etch 64 bit
    utorrent 1.8.1
Number of torrents running at the time of problems : 25

    Problems being faced :-

    uTorrent
Errors i keep getting in utorrent are as follows:
    1) ERROR : General Error
    2) ERROR : ERROR Not Found
    3)ERROR : Invalid resume/download state , unable to resume
    4) If i try to delete from utorrent with the option remove torrent+Data then the utorrent crashes.
The errors 1-3 keep reoccuring after some time and i have to force restart them everyttime .. some times they start otherwise i get Error 4 or 2.

    VNC
VNC for one of the login crashes sometimes(now frequently) but the other logins/uTorrent work perfectly fine.

    Solution Tried
I have raised the number of open files limit to 8192 but it doesnt seem to help ..

Can anyone help me out with this? I have no clue y it is happening but its ruining my seedbox performance and making it a pain in the ass to monitor is continously..

Try chmod on the directories that the torrent files and session files are being stored in.

    example: "chmod -R 777 /home/apex/torrents"

Other than that, not sure, never really used uTorrent with Debian.

they didn't built Rome in one day

    For all users running uTorrent?

You could try increasing the number.
