Thread: What is MDM.EXE?

    When i start up windows xp in windows task manager i have a process called MDM.EXE in large letters also it use 4,468k of memory. I dont ever have a file on my hard drive called MDM.EXE . Is it a ok file or not.

    You see the difference in the spelling ? One is MDM.exe which is ok , then MDM. EXE mabye a trojan ?

    you can see file information and place with some taskmanager appz
    like "Security.Task.Manager.v1.6f" or go to tuneup start up manager and if it's starting with windows start you can see information there too...

    Ya a program like Ccleaner or TuneUp Utilities StartUp gives you a bit more info. If the process is EXE . I'd use SmitfraudFix first then Hijackthis to remove . Turn off System Restore first tho , I always found that to be useless anyway but just mho.

    Another good program is Trojan Remover as I find if its malware you have its almost like three steps to get rid of the bugger .
