It's quite hard to think off good programs that can be unlocked with only a serial and can be downloaded from the makers website.
How about opera, not really unlocking but it gets rid of the banner.

Why don't you just make a website about freeware, which gets around all the crap like having to get serials, cracks, etc., and is often as good as, if not better than, shareware/payware?
