The 2nd Bleach movie was really good as well but it doesn't reach high enough to compete with the best anime movie of all time:

I know you are looking for anime movies,but take a look at the series GANTZ. Its brutal,grizzly,futuristic,original and weird as f*ck. I want one of those suits they wear :-)

Yes! the movie is very impressive & funny.
and there is old version of D, in 1985(maybe?)

I'm just going through all the classics myself and they are great.

By recommendation of a friend I watched Appleseed Ex Machina. I mst say it was very good. The story was so-so, but the effects were mind blowing at times imo.
