    Urgent

    Hey Guys,

    So I've just started to play PC Games.

    I have 2 questions::

    1) I want to know if there is any utility out there that will stop any unnecessary processes that I can run before I start a game.

    I know enough to be able to do it myself manually, but it'd be easier to use a utility.

    2) Is there a utility out there that will run while I'm playing my game to ensure that no windows open/change or anything happens back on my XP Pro desktop (which would mess up the game and cause me to reboot like I've done in BioShock)

    Thanks

    Click for more activation options, then activate by telephone. Run the keygen.
    if I call them, aren't they going to get me? (you know, down there)

    lol killing programmes is just silly. you'll get almost 0 performance improvement ingame from doing that, unless u're running large programmes in the background that use alot of CPU processing power, or you're rendering graphics in another programme, which you don't seem to be doing.

    majority of gaming performance these days depends on the graphic card, save for a few games like supreme commander.

    You could use a litestep shell to use less resources than explorer, but to be honest unless your rather short on memory, or have a lot of things running at startup, it's probably not going to be very much of a gain. Best case, I'd guess you'll pick up 1-5 FPS by killing off most of what you have running

    One exception to that, and I've had people bring me PCs because of the "problem" is a daily virus scan. It's an easy process to forget about, and it will drag the system down.
