*EDIT* Loz it is acurate i think it has something to do with the IP going back to your ISP place... i think

I'm not advertiseing for the company...its free . But yes, you are right, it doesn't locate you, it locates your ISP, but its still very accurate.

mines comes up ediburgh, when i live in fife, across the water, but i think this is where the main uplink to my isp is, so my ip will be registered to that uplink,

Great, I've just transported myself to California, I suppose I really must be there because it tells me I'm not using a proxy.
It was only 90% certain that I was in London, but it is 98% certain that I'm in California.
