Fakes, Fakes And Fakes....help!

Hi, I've tried to download 3 new albums: Black rebel motorcicle club, Starsailor and the cooper temple clause.....I got a nice surprise: they're all fakes! Starsailor's mp3 are loops of a song from the first album.
Argh!!
Would this compromise the future of p2p?
