    everyone seems to have missed one of the most important things to stay secure do you want a clue.
    windows update

    that and common sense such as:

    dont open email attachments from strangers
    only download from trusted sources
    strong passwords
    use up to date software
    dont run services you do not need

    you put all of them together with a decent firewall ,antivirus and you are one very hard target on the internet.

    i downloaded the w32.welchia.worm from WINDOWS UPDATE!!! the first day i got this computer while gettting msn messenger.

    Why not just set your brother up on his own user account without Admin. priveleges?

    He can press buttons to his heart&#39;s content and not be able to change/reconfigure/add/delete.
