Thread: hosting-ie and utorrent disk overloaded

    hi can anyone help me out does anyone know why is it that i am getting the disk overloaded with hosting-ie vps useing utorrent this was not happening to me befor is there anything i can do to fixs this

    have you tried increasing the buffer? on my vps i increased it to 256mb from 32mb and it fixed my problem

    or limit your download speed.

    Its windows right ? Then its hard to get it to work great.

    Search here on Fst for Utorrent tweaking and I'm sure you will find some good tips

    but also, keep in mind that you are sharing the hardware, so sometimes it's almost impossible to download something, whatever the speed is, without getting disc overload errors, When I had one of these, I managed to avoid it pretty well, but sometimes it just wasn't possible :/

    yea i did have the same problems with their gbit vps.

    I could get like 17MB/up in the nights for some hours and somtimes it was only about 1MB/s

    Maby its better to order a own harddrive extra to download to ?

    if they can attach own HDD to your VDS sure ti would be the best way

    @ TechnoMan80 i dont think hosting-ie does that attach own HDD to vds and @ haydeno how do i increasing the buffer? and @ andra yes its a windows vps raptor 3

    I had 160 Gb attached to my Rabtor + 1
    nothing special bit expensive, but no errors

    better to get Dedic box as I did,

    if i am not remembering wrong i was using these settings on my keyweb vps


    ofc i was limitting download to 3.5MB/sn for dont crash and i never got disk overload
