Because there is a big difference between being sentimental and heartfelt and merely being manipulative.

And the mystery that is suppose to drive the story is obvious even by watching the trailer.

Smith and Dawson do have some real chemistry together but otherwise Wil(I am unable to underplay a scene) Smith is in full Oscar whore mode here.

Plus Oprah liked it so it is clearly work of the Devil.

Awesome acting by Will Smith, however the story left a lot to be desired (IMHO)...

I actually liked it more than i thought i would aswell. But i thought it was going to be terrible.... plus i saw it pretty much right after Slumdog Millionaire which is my favorite of the year. As for Seven Pounds, i was pretty engaged throughout the whole movie but i thought the ending fell flat and i wasnt really moved as much as i thought i'd be. Also, is there really such a thing as eye transplants??? if so i never knew

Corneal transplants not the full eye.Not that uncommon really.
    It's even an outpatient procedure.

I usually need one after every Wil Smith movie since I invariably claw my eyes out.

    Really good film 10/10
But I didn’t count seven pounds, only six.
    I miss some action?

    Lol .

'Will watch it tomorrow or sometime soon. I read it's storyline on IMDB, seems to be a tearjerker to me.
