How to know if a file is real (NZB related)

I'm looking for a deadspace repack by Skullptura and i've only seen .exe files that are around 10kb-20mb so obv these are fake right? or if i download them do i automatically dl more files? cuz sometimes (ie when i download music albums) it only shows the first song of the album and once i add the nzb it downloads the entire album.

Links? which group(s)? I don't do much with .exe so can't help you there.. but sometimes looking at headers will give it away.. also look at the poster and see if they regularly dump shit to the groups.. Headers can tell a lot.

they are probably viruses, i never touch .exe anywhere.

tbh usenet use to be a safe place to get what you wanted, now lots of idiots are uploading tons of crap, you just have to know what is real and what is fake.

and the game is 3.05gig rared. so no they are fake shit, dont touch them.

I dont think those actually get released on usenet, mind you i have never really looked for them, i have seen them on mininova though.

The actual newsgroups are in bold.. a.b. = alt.binaries so I'd head there and look at the headers if/when unsure.. Sometimes you'll see people post that its bullshit.. a.b.test? I have no idea why you'd dump something there.. a.b.games probably a good spot to look and a.b.warez..

And again, I don't mess with exe here (linux) and don't care about viruses either...
