I don't think they are going after downloaders yet. Only uploaders. Correct me if i'm wrong.

if you want a little security, get a good firewall
zone alarm,zygate, outpost
all listed can import the bad ip list from here its much better than just running peer guardian!

You didn't quite read the post fully, what muchspl said was to import the bad ip list from peerguardian list into the firewall's blocklist..

Yeah no kidding. Anyway if you don't share anything they cant sue you. What most people dont understand is the reason that they dont go after downloaders is that they cant. This is for two reasons. First, its P2P - only the person uploading can get your username or ip address. Second, its not illegal to download the music you 'own' or have purchased. The RIAA has no way of knowing if you own the music already or not, so just by "innocent until proven guilty" you're safe. Its illegal to sue someone over a hunch (i.e. "well MAYBE this dude didn't buy his music) The RIAA would get their asses sued major if they started doing that. So in short, you're okay by downloading. But still, everyone please keep uploading - I dont think the RIAA can keep this up much longer, let alone the chances of you getting caught are less than you getting hit by lightning. Thats my 2 cents.
