    Alright. I was just curious abt it

    I thought you must leave it on no matter what..

    so it is ok to turn PC off once in while

    I don't think you'll find conclusive evidence one way or the other- leave it on always, turn it off daily- both sides have arguments, neither side is convincing.

    Not that it matters but I put mine to sleep when I'm not sitting in front of it.

    Yeah, just consider that one small decision as an analogue for your whole life.

    Hardware zen.

    Edit:
    Now running the app on all four cores of the q9550 and the vid card.
    CPU (and presumably, the GPU) chugging at 100%.
    Temp seems to have normalized at @ 39°c for both devices.
    Should be interesting to see how this goes.
