Thread: New Movies Problem

  1. #1
Well i've downloaded a few "new" moives and i cant play them.

What i did was , remove ALL codecs from my pc. Downloaded the Full KLite++ (i think) codec pack.

Not sure if the files are corrupted or the problem lies with my software codecs.

Anyway i've downloaded X2 and Tomb Raider 2 , [TMD] rip , it worked. I then downloaded Finding Nemo.avi , Legally Blonde 2 and Pirates of the Carribean.
I then played thoes moives using the following Software :

    Windows Media Player :

Just a screen with that irritating rendering moive , like thoes u see when u play your music files.

    Real Audio Player :

Black Screen, it shows the timeline of the moive but its just black from start to finish. no Audio

    BS player :

    Same as Above

    Power DVD:

    Crashes

    VideoLan :

Just a Black Screen of Death

No idea why this is happening, Are the files corrupted? oh yeah i even use Gspot and redered it it says " DirectShow is abble to play blah blah using the following codes " so based on that it seems to be " player-able " but it just wont work ! heh

Well i hope to get more feedback from you guys.

System Specs (if anyone needs to know)

    winxp pro
    1gig ram
    GeForce4 Ti4200
    P4 2.4GhzC

    Thanks again ~

If you downloaded the K-Lite Codec pack have you tried setting the Xvid Codec to one of the other builds?

Let me guess, you didn't use AviPreview to check if the files were ok. Well then it's your own faulth, if you get corrupted files.

    ALWAYS USE AVIPREVIEW, ALWAYS......
