    What exactly are dos games? NE benefits? Cons? Thx 4 ne and all help

    Dos games are games that do not run in a windows environment, that run in dos mode. Some can be run in the shell still provided in NT based systems but not very many, very well.

    Unless you are using 9.X, ME you probably will not have much luck.

    Okay thx probably won't waste my time w/them but there is a whole list of them in the verifieds and the posts there say I shouldn't have any problems running them in w/xp

    some do work in XP, do not get me worng. Just alot XP cannot run.

    There is also abondonware sites for this kinda stuff, they are all free.

    I've never had any problems getting a DOS game to run in XP. Hell, I got Daggerfall to run, and that one's notorious for not running in XP. DOS games died out in 1997, so there's really a plethora to choose from. Two things you may need are VDMSound, which is a DOS sound emulator, and a CPU killer. This page lists a bunch of them.

    and then they all begin h4xing, which brings on the russian winter
