    Are there any servers out there that will allow me to send them HDDs for upgrade free of charge?

    freeof what charge? u will still have to pay the import tax etc which wont be less than 100 $$ .. The installation mite be free .. Chk out i3d.net //

    Beside the possibility of upgrade, did you think about the base-cost of a drive? Not every server/provider uses the bog-standard 3.5" drive you have a home and a decent SCSI/SAS-drive will set you back more than you bargained for.
