    Downloaded Knoppix 3.2 and Winlinux2003.
Looks great but don't use them cause can't get my USB ADSL modem to work and must confess I'm a Linux Newbee.

Today is your lucky day. I have just the distro for you.

50 megabytes of penguin power. A fully functional distrobution of linux with a gui and all. Check it out. Its called "Damn Small Linux" and it works. Its not the distro I use but Ive tried it before. Since you have a bandwitdh problem (dial up) then this might work well for you. Shouldnt take you too long to download 50 megs.
