Thread: Dvd+r Or Dvd-r?

1. #1
I've just bought myself a new DVD-/+RW (compatible with both + and - R/RW's) and I'm wondering which is the best type of DVD media to buy. This is just asking for your personal opinions and preference more than anything else. I'll go for the one that the most people found the best for results as the cost is nearly the same so that isn't an issue.

Cheers.

A few more features (such as lossless linking, whatever that may be) with +r format. A lot of the -r manufacturers seem to be the ones producing dual format writers, maybe that is a sign that +r is going to be the main standard in the future, and they don't want to be left out.

But for the time being -r is still slightly cheaper, but not by much.

I think the +r vs. -r is going to be a battle like the 8-track vs. tape cassette

In the end, I think the +r is going to win because its has more features.... but its gonna be a price war until one of the two wins
