I have Divx 2.1 and Windows Media Player 8. When I play a movie on the wmp it takes 25 - 30% of my CPU performance, and Divx takes about 50%. I have a P4 2.41 Ghz, a Titan 533 motherboard, and 512 Mb of DDR RAM. Is there something out there that doesn't take up half of my system resources?

i have rougly the same specs xemi and funnily enough i just checked avi preview. wmp9 was using about 20-24% - avi preview sits between 5-10%- not ideal tho' cos it takes a few secs to render at first - in full screen mode right click for the menu

    JetAudio Plus

Takes up 10,240K on average but it takes care of the regular file types as well as those of WMP and RealOne. All that is needed then is QuickTime (The QT filters don't seem to work 100% )

Get BS Player -- i strongly recommend it. All the video.movie/xvid/divx maniacs use it.
