Oh, JPaul, for shame.

Where are the titles? Where are the authors?

You do a great disservice to Wordsworth and Owen.

Off to the corner with you, to think about what you've done to those poor fellows.

As I see it there are two potential groups of reader here. Those who already knew those things and those who don't care.

I appreciate that there may be a small group who didn't know but would want to. In the highly unlikely event that they stumble in I am sure you have catered for them.

Oh and I would appreciate it if you would be so good as to to hyphenate your "disservice" that's just plain ugly. I fully appreciate that your version is in fact correct and that mine is totally wrong. However sometimes beauty must come before accuracy - even in days where "smack yo bitch up" is considered poetic.

Eminem might be a poet, but not a very good one IMO.

However, I take issue with people calling him a musician. He is not a musician, he is a rapper. These are different disciplines.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

Though I would love to diss you over your observations on disservice, diss ain't the place to do it.

That's a bit harsh - just PM yourself with a written warning and add a couple of notches to your bad behaviour monitor.

Have you ever been hated or discriminated against? I have,
I've been protested and demonstrated against.
Picket signs for my wicked rhymes. Look at the times.
Sick is the mind of the motha fu*kin' kid that's behind
all this commotion. Emotions run deep as ocean's explodin.'
Tempers flaring from parents, just blow 'em off and keep goin.'
Not takin' nothin' from no one, give 'em hell long as I'm breathin.'
Keep kickin' ass in the mornin,' an' takin' names in the evening.
Leavem with a taste as sour as vinegar in they mouth.
See, they can trigger me but they never figure me out.
Look at me now, I bet ya probably sick of me now.
Ain't you mama, I'm gonna make you look so ridiculous now.

I'm sorry, Mama. I never meant to hurt you. I never meant to make you cry, but tonight I'm cleanin' out my closet.

Eminem
How can you claim that's not poetry?

Reasons For Attendance by Philip Larkin.

The trumpet's voice, loud and authoritative,
Draws me a moment to the lighted glass
To watch the dancers- all under twenty-five-
Solemnly on the beat of happiness.

-Or so I fancy, sensing the smoke and sweat,
The wonderful feel of girls. Why be out there?
But then, why be in there? Sex, yes but what
Is sex? Surely to think that the lion's share
Of happiness is found by couples - sheer

Inaccuracy as far as I'm concerned.
What calls me is that lifted, rough-tongued bell
(Art if you like) whose individual sound
Insists I too am individual.
It speaks; I hear; others may hear as well,

But not for me, nor I for them; and so
With happiness. Therefore I stay outside,
Believing this, and they maul to and fro,
Believing that; and both are satisfied,
If no-one has misjudged himself. Or lied.
