I have win 98 and I checked and I have "System Information". But Couldn't quite understand all of it. I haven't been using win 98 very long, but I did a full install when I first installed it.Originally posted by balamm@20 September 2003 - 04:06
You don't need to download anything. It's built into win9x.
Programs\ accessories\system tools\ system monitor. On the left hand, top corner, you'll see a small button right below "file". click on it and choose what you want to monitor. Virtual memory, physical memory, kernel, processor, whatever you want info on. Configure it from there and you'll know exactly what's going on.
You might have to install management and monitoring tools from the OS install CD if you did a minimal install to begin.
Put your CD in and go to add remove programs/ add windows components. Look for management and monitoring tools or system tools and install it all. Then go back and take a look just above system info. You should see the system monitor there. You can have as many snapins as you want open at one time so just experiment till you get the info you're looking for.
if you had Xp/2000 you could bring up the task manager to check your memory
you can download a version for 9x from tucows
The Sexay Half Of ABBA And Max: Freelance Plants
In XP just press Ctrl+Alt+Del..
it's alot better than the 98 and ME Dialog.. has alot of info
