How do you check to see what is taking up the system resources? Like what particular program that is running in the task bar that is using the most and such. I know you check the percentage in Control panel, but I want to know how much ram each program is using. Is there a program for that? Thanks for any help.

    Whats your operating system?

Cant remeber if older versions have it but in xp, bringing up task manager>processes shows the memory usage of each upplication/process currently running.

You don't need to download anything. It's built into win9x.

Programs\ accessories\system tools\ system monitor. On the left hand, top corner, you'll see a small button right below "file". click on it and choose what you want to monitor. Virtual memory, physical memory, kernel, processor, whatever you want info on. Configure it from there and you'll know exactly what's going on.

You might have to install management and monitoring tools from the OS install CD if you did a minimal install to begin.
