Thread: Web Site Buttons

  1. #1
Well i was dtermined not to ask but after a late night into early morning of searching here it is.

What do you guys use to make web buttons?

I do not need anything fancy, just standard navigational buttons. I found one program that I "kinda" liked but it did not allow me to save it with the trial version so I threw it out. It was crystal buttons I think.

Anyways whatever y'all got that works - I am so close to paying someone to do this for me.

You make them with flash (swish). Heres some link to free ones that are already made.

The pre-made ones are great (serve my current purpose)

The link to the how to just brings me to the banner for the host. I would love to learn how to make them on my own. (I usually pick up much faster than this)

Great guide and I plan to learn it all very soon and that saves me asking again in a week. But for right now it is a little bit more than I need to do. I realize now that this must be incredibly easy and I am about to ruin all credibility I have on this board (whatever that may be)

All I am looking to do is either take this button or make one similar and put my own text inside of it.

I would prefer to just make my own buttons, but if I can take others just as easy.

I have never made buttons before. I suggest trying swish, or another flash program.

Using online websites for creating flash buttons is a bad idea. Using Fireworks MX 2004 and then importing it into Dreamweaver is both easy and incredibly good. You may wish to use Photoshop as well.

I know there a javascript that i used at one time where you use two images. When you highlight it it changes. Also Xara has a menu maker witch is pretty cool.
