Thread: Seedbox legal questions

  1. #1
There are countless seedbox proviers out there so i just have to ask, isnt this business rather risky? One could say they just provide a service and most of them have some TOS stating that seeding copyright protected material is forbidden. But in the worst case all that is seen in a swarm is the IP address of the seedbox provider. He rents the server so he is liable, isnt he? Or do they instantly forward all data of their customers to inquiring parties? What if the customers used some false information or paid anonymously?
Are there any examples of seedbox users or providers being busted, yet?

Well, if I'm not wrong the veteran seedbox providers will configure the servers to reject any popular public trackers.

You don't need to worry, there are lots of users who use pre-configured seedboxes.
