    It&#39;s not anything you can GET, it&#39;s a procedure...
    I think it usually entails flashing modem firmware or somthing...

    basically, your isp puts a limit on your connection speed (a cap)
    if you remove this cap (or at least increase it), you uncap your modem

    most adsl/cable modems can handle up to about 8mbps down so in theory, you can have T1 connection speed for the same price as 512k...

    however, in practise, it&#39;s rather difficult (near impossible) to get away with it...

    i still dont get it

    "uncap"? is that a hardware thing? I dont see any caps on my modem ??

    as mentioned above, it&#39;s usually a firmware change (basically software inside your modem)

    do a google search for more info...
