you said to stopped hacked programs from reporting home...I am guessing there is a way to trace stuff can someone please explain. I have zonealarm and it trys to access the net should i not let it. Sorry i am a lot less then a novice at this so any help would be great.
well maybe you have zonealarm set to auto check for updates? which is ok where you can get into trub if you are not useing the free version of something but say the pro and useing a serial that half the ppl on the net are sooner or later an update will at the minumum disable and make the program useless
as far as traceing i am sure zonealarm gives say whatever is trying to conect to ip ***.***.***.*** you can use traceroute at the command promt... a whois proggy most scanners will turn ip in domain name for but the best i have found is "visualroute"

    hmm.
I guess if your the pessimist/paranoid type of person who wears suspenders AND a belt, multiple firewalls on your
home PC might be useful. Otherwise, you just look like a moron.
I have three. Care to comment?

Do you know anything at all about the internet? Your comments suggest it's very little.
Given your comments on this issue alone, it would be quite satisfying to have you try to access your system only to find a million random events running wild, trojans reporting home, a million sent emails with attachments, complaints from those who recieved and opened them, complaints from your ISP about activity from your computer, among other things. Call it justice, call it amusement, call it a waste of time, it would still satisfy someone.
