Lock and hide your hard-drives

Don't see the point in that, but ok.

It hides the entire drive. That is the point....though there are better alternatives in my opinion.

you can alternatively go to compmgt.msc and remove a drive letter to the desired drive.
And once you want it to show up go there again and assign it again.

True Crypt for the win. Just remember to always back up your volume-headers in case of problemos.

Thanks for the advice Disme, TrueCrypt is the better solution for hiding sensitive info imo.

Privacy, feature lock-down if it's a public terminal and you don't want customers to be able to access drives.
