Thread: 1080p.BluRay.DTS.x264

    Hello,
    Could someone help? There are a lot of x264/720, x264/1080 available now a day over dvd format in the movie section. This x264 formats is for computer viewing only? Can it be watch on new flat panel TV such as Plasma/Lcd and how?

    of course you can, through media servers like tversity or if you want, you could use NMTs (Popcorn Hour etc.)

    Personally I've used Popcorn and am utilizing it to watch my HD stuff on the telly. But I do remember some problems with different encoding profiles (something like 4.1 or 5.1), but am not too clear with that :S

    Still it works most of the time though!

    i stream all mine from my server to my ps3, it handles the lot, any encoding of picture/sound and goes like a dream. i use this http://ps3mediaserver.blogspot.com/ fantastic app.

    Hands down Popcorn Hour. Best media tank I have owned, it plays everything. I went with the A110 as it supports DTS audio pass through which is good for someone like me who does not have a receiver capable of on-board DTS decoding.

    Popcorn Hour 110 user here. The best HD player I have ever tried. I find it better than watching the movies through my computer using my TV as monitor.

    I have heard decent things about the WD. One drawback of it though is it is not networkable and only accepts external HDD's. If you are not worried about either of those than that would be a very cost effective HD player.
