Which program or update do I need to read a *.nfo file?

With all nfo files I tried to open, it displayed the same:

"System information cannot open this nfo file. It might be corupted or an unrecognized version."

I work with xp pro corporate.

    Thanks in advance.
    Leonidas.

just open it with note pad or wordpad...or alternatively look for a program called NFO Viewer

Notepad can read them - Or any of the in-built ASCII viewers in many archive software (e.g. WinRAR, WinZip)

yeah, use ntopad, and if u want it to look a bt better, change the font to terminal
Watch out in that instance though - I'm not sure whether Terminal is a fixed-width font, which many of those who writes the NFOs use to look neat on all computers. Use a variable-width font and it might look a bit messy and harder to read - Just a note though
