I have a love affair with Usenet also....i'm also a skinflint like your wife.
I've just signed up for Astra's $96/year plan.....can't beat that(not even with a big stick)
Well compare usenet price to what you get.
The music and movies are great and at the price, even theater, in one day I pay the 11$ astraweb bill.
I"m just a kid recently got a job I get 20$ every 2 weeks from my parents help around the house.
Going to start investing soon, but usenet really pays for itself in speed and content.
Even though some things I have to use torrents.
Which I hate even on private still have to upload then the family complains about slow speeds.
Maybe you could find something on usenet that your wife likes. Then she might be more willing to keep it.
So now that you've had some time, how is this working out for you?
