just some advice...
it's not really a very good impression that you jumped into the invite/req section right after the month is over and that you only have 4 posts in the last month, I'd wait a bit before asking, gets a much better chance of succeeding in your req, my only request(which happened to be what or waffles as well) was fileed in 2 minutes(Craaaazy Fast!)

What allows anyone a fair chance to join .You don't have to know anyone .You don't have to beg for anything .You get in purely on merit. That's rare and pretty darn great in my opinion.
