Hello, I wish to create a simple program that presents a series of options and then generates a text file to be saved.
What would be the easiest tool/code to use/learn for this ? I have 0 experience

I'd say start with Visual Basic, there a plently of books available to guide you towards programming with this "language".

Hi-Definition
I find that delphi is pretty easy. You may want to check it out at borland.com. I have the crack for the trial so that would save you $3000

Yeah, Java is what I'm learning at university. There are several good e-books about it if you do a search and download some.

thanks shadow.
EDIT: I'm taking java in my university too, I don't know how to create and edit files through it though yet, I think I did in C++ but I just don't remember =D. Keep in mind programming can be very frustating and annoying!
