Thread: Favorite Decade?

  1. #1
Here's the topic (my apologies if this has been done before, please just humor me):

Pick a decade and give us your top ten albums from that decade. Please no flaming, as this is a topic based entirely on personal opinion. Very simple. I will start.

    The 1990's

    In no particular order:

the Black Crowes - Southern Harmony and Musical Companion
    Smashing Pumpkins - Gish
    Radiohead - the Bends
    Pearl Jam - Ten
    Morphine - Cure For Pain
Rage Agains the Machine - Rage Against the Machine
    Blind Melon - Blind Melon
Grant Lee Buffalo - Mighty Joe Moon
Edwin McCain - Honor Among Thieves*
    U2 - Achtung Baby

    * If the only Edwin McCain music you are familar with is his more recent ballad type crap you might not understand this pick. Honor Among Thieves is a tremendous album. Great recording, great songs, and great playing. In my opinion he should have just retired after that album because he never came close to making anything that good again. But again, that just my opinion.

glad to see you put a lot of thought into that dmorgan. there's nothing wrong with liking linkin park and limp bizkit, but damn, don't you think you should broaden your musical horizon even slightly?

i'll answer later, need to have a think about it.
