lol, it is like $100, and you cant save games in HDD, U still need to save in Memory Cards, im not too excited about this

i just like the faster loading but now that i "actually" read it it kinda sucks i would buy it if we can save on the HDD

only reason i would get a hard drive is if with it you could mod the ps2 the way some xboxs are modded. you can play movies(avi, etc.) mp3s and all kinds of other stuff.

hope 40gb can be used for memory card.. The hell with worring about runnin out of memory space!! SAVE IT ALL!!

if you have a usb port on your pc (and let's face it, who doesn't now) then you can actually use your current hdd as a memory card for ps2
you just need a piece of software called X-Port

Forget the 40gig HDD, and wait for PSX. Sony is "upgrading" the Playstation 2, and coming out with PSX.
