I Scanned with a virus scanner and with Spy Sweeper and Ad Aware. It didn't detect it as spyware, or a virus.Originally posted by Shad0w Hacker@30 September 2003 - 03:42
do a search and delete it.
And do a full system scan.
Nope I wish I did. That way I could pinpoint what this is.Originally posted by MusicChick+30 September 2003 - 01:44--></div><table border='0' align='center' width='95%' cellpadding='3' cellspacing='1'><tr><td>QUOTE (MusicChick @ 30 September 2003 - 01:44)</td></tr><tr><td id='QUOTE'> <!--QuoteBegin-sharedholder@30 September 2003 - 03:37
Do you have a game installed called Legend of Hero Tonma (LOHT)??
@Shad0w Hacker I've gone to crack sites that do that. Sometimes on the bottom of Internet Explorer it will say "Installing cab009" etc. Maybe that could be it. [/b][/quote]
Going to those kinda sites you need alot of security; antivirus, proxy, pop-up/banner blocker, and firewall.
Thanks for those links. I'll scan now.Originally posted by sharedholder@30 September 2003 - 03:46

Know of a good banner or popup blocker?Originally posted by Shad0w Hacker@30 September 2003 - 03:49

spybot routinely catches things that ad-aware misses. If spybot says its harmless, it probably is. And also there is an "immunize" function built in to spybot that will immunize ie from bad downloads. I can't recommend that yet, as i have not needed it/tried it yet.

Norton security is a firewall/pop-up blocker/banner block. Works very well.
i like Adsubtract can lock adds, pop ups, images, bck music, java, cookies.....a few more things you can also pick what to do with what site eg all sites i have pop ups blocked but for this forum it allows popups so i can get PM's ... i have found it a very good program so far i have all the comps here at home going through a proxy (for HTTP) then through Adsubtract and it handels it no prob
