Windows 95 Running on Hacked iPhone
Posted by iPhoneHacks on July 17, 2009

" Folks at Russian site GooDiPhone have demoed Windows 95 running on an iPhone 3G via an emulator.

I'm sure not many of you care but it's cool in a wierd way to see Windows 95 running on the iPhone. It seems some folks have also managed this on Nokia's N95.

Developers of iSoft team have managed to run Windows 95 on a jailbroken iPhone with the help of Bochs emulator and a standard Windows 95 image.

You can checkout the video of Windows 95 running on iPhone 3G below:

They have reported that it takes 5 to 10 minutes to boot Windows 95 on the iPhone.

They also plan to figure out a way to get Windows XP to run on the iPhone and also try running Windows on the faster iPhone 3GS. "

I'm sure everyone knew that Linux was ported too?

What's the point? You can't call anyone now.........I think it's cool they hacked it and all, but it's pointless, since Win95 isn't designed to "call people on the 3G network"

From a geeky, consumer electronics standpoint it is kinda cool just to have a benchmark for the power of handheld devices.

Once my contract ends with AT&T I am going to try that.
