they never wanted to compete with AMD 64. kinda stupid to compare them since the P4 EE is just a Xeon with more L2 cache. just wait till Intel does release the CPU thats the one thats ment to compete with AMD the Pentium 5.which should be at market by Febuary 2004.

Yeah definitely 1 and it worked, the EE spanked the AMD64, Intel shifted the release of their next major chip well back because of the problems AMD had with the 64 and because they knew that the EE could handle it in speed. I hope AMD have something up their sleeve because with all the extra production and design time Intel have had for their next core, they'll probably be getting high yields and fewer production problems, so the chips could end up being quite cheap (or intel will just sell them expensive and make a ton of money)
