    HP P700
    not too new, 17" still supports 120hz at 1024x768 pixels res
    It has better quality than my school's Dell 1.6ghz system moniters actually.

    compaq FS740... max res 1280x1024 @ 60hz... i want a new monitor with 1600x1200 with a higher refresh rate preferably... but i couldn't beat the price on this monitor... $99 brand new in June 2002... anyone know of any decent monitors with a higher res and refresh rate for a low price?

    Capable of 1024x768 @ 160Hz
    Can manage 1920x1440, but only @ 60Hz :x

    You shouldn't use 60 Hz - it's bad for the eyes.

    Try and get up to 85Hz or so, or at least above 70.
