Can Anyone Recommend A Fast Avi To Mpeg Convertor?

Like I said in the actual question, does anyone know a fast program that lets you convert 700mb avi files tio mpeg files? I hate having to wait for an hour on Nero. Can anyone help please?

Theres really isnt a good one, try TMPGEnc it does it pretty good. Get it from doa2.host.sk

I would expect anything that converts a movie in less than hour to be utter crap, use TMPGEnc as was suggested, for best results. And don't use nero.
