James Purefoy (Mark Anthony in Rome and Teddy Rist in the Philanthropist) stars and has got some real talent in Pete Postlethwaite,Alice Krige and Max Von Sydow .
Hopefully the movie that Van Helsing should have been.

it starts off pretty good and nostalgia kicks in with conan visuals everywhere. after the 1st 10 mins of the film it levels out for story purposes and then it goes down hill. no decent special effects, good acting or even a breast shot to save this movie appears. the ending, once it arrives, is fast and to the point which was great for i wanted this movie to just end. it's a damn shame and let's hope the 2011 conan movie is a better hit. some conan nostalgic visuals, creepy fog & black capes. 4/10

The only problem with the Conan movie is that they cast this idiot from Stargate as the lead.



Seriously man they need to go hard R ( which they won't) if they have any hope of saving it.
Oh well there's always Red Sonja..........not.

There's plenty that's good here: a serious tone, steady *pacing, muddy and bloody scenery and a convincing turn by Purefoy in his own west country accent. But Kane is an ill fit into the *origins tale template; it's a story with few *surprises.

I watched this one last night, and boy, what a load of
Erratic pace, disconnected dialogues, all is bad in this movie. They have attempted to make some kind of epic, with a low budget and a terrible director.
Stay away from this one.
