    http://messenger.msn.com

    and

    http://messenger.msn-int.com/

I know the first one is authorised since I get all my updates from there. The second link features the new beta 6.1.

But I did searches on the net and couldn't find any info on the domain msn-it.com, it looks exactly like a MSN site but it's not a listed site...

    anyone know what msn-it.com is??

http://messenger.msn-int.com/ is the internal msn site according to mess.be and other sites.

Is it me or does the website he links to not seem to be an official Microsoft site?

He links to http://messenger.msn-int.com, but the real homepage is http://messenger.msn.com. The latter URL is still showing 6.0.

Or is this a case of MS not having its ducks in a row and owning too many domains?

Just did a little more research. Seems that msn-int.com is owned by:
Frank J. Drazka (IPLFIXLKFO) [email protected]
    136 East 55th Street, PHE
    New York, NY 10022
    US
    212-230-1037 fax: 212-751-7982

and not Microsoft. I would be a little wary using anything that I downloaded from that site, even though the download links seem to go to the same executable on the "real" MSN site. This is very confusing and makes me a little worried to install anything from either of these sites.

How could Frank Drazka know that 6.1 is out when MS doesn't seem to?

    that's weird because.

the one at msn.com shows 6.0

the one at msn-it.com shows 6.1

Frank Drazka? Doesn't sound very trustworthy.

why would an individual make a website that looks almost identical to the original without having a negative motive?
