I want a program that can do this: Combinations of AMWMWA or whatever..
not possible. you have to convert them all to the same format (and frame size) and then join them. [/b][/quote]
Your right, the screen resolution has to be the same and also all joining parts have to have same decompression codecs. Forget it mate. And as said^^ why would you want to do it? The only thing i can think is that you want to join music videos by one artist together? If so let me know if you find a way as id like to do that as well.

Edited:
Use Vegas4.0+DVD-Architect from SonicFoundry, NOW is SONY.
DL the demo's from their site(http://mediasoftware.sonypictures.co...p1.asp?CatID=1) and find the keygens with Kazaa.
Good Luck!!

You're welcome. I'm a total SonicFoundry-addict!!
And you wouldn't believe it, but i have legal copy's of all their apps(NFR's)!!!
I sold their stuff for some years.
I edit my movies in Vegas, import them into Acid, compose the Music, etc.
(and in Acid you can even use VST-instruments!!
or get the full version from kazaa, just search vegas 4.0 and its about 76mb.
The demo's ARE full versions. You only have to paste the serial into them.
They have the worst protection imaginable. You can even update your illegal copy from within the program!!
DL'n from SF is a lot faster and the keythingy is only a few k's.
Grtz,
Yogi

Now that Sony bought SonicFoundry, you will be able to buy it in much more stores.
They bought a goldmine with this one!!
For a bargainprice i assume, since SF allmost went bankrupt some years ago, after too much risky aquissitions.
And they make their hardware a lot more attractive by bundling them with the progz.
They have a nice offer including a burner.
But it'll set you back 899 bucks!!
http://mediasoftware.sonypictures.com/prod...uct.asp?PID=874
It's good value, but still a lot of money!!
Nice to hear you enjoy it so much!
BTW. you can use vst-effects aswell for the sound, but you'll need an adapter for that. FXpansion has a nice one, not too expensive.
And did you know you can find some additional video-effect-packs aswell?
But beware: for me it's kind of addictive! But then i only need 4-5 ours of sleep, so.....
Have fun!!

so this program lets you import a bunch of different formats and then convert it all to a single-format file? sounds like pretty much an easier automated way of doing what i suggested. it makes sense.
in the original post, the guy was just saying he wanted to make a sandwich out of a several formats without converting, which just won't work...
