airflow is key to keeping things cool.

ALso, could you give some links guys on softmodding and overclocking Geforce cards? I just used Rage3d Tweak on my Radeon, but havnt went looking for Nividia overclocking progs.

Forget the Quadro bit. The Quadro is a card marketed to CAD folks. I actually tried the mod on my dad's computer (Geforce MX440 SSE), and it does not work; it works better with the plain geforce 4 cards.

    The following is a copy/paste from guru3d.com

Yes it's finally here. You can force the professional Quadro4 family on your normal GeForce4 without soldering on the PCB to force the Device_ID, all that with a little software patch and a little help from some anonymous friends that is.
    read more about it here

Soft Quadro is a registry mod that is built into the Riva tuner. Get it even if you do not want to do the mod. You can do low level overclocking, hardware level overclocking and LOD bias settigs.

I installed Riva Tuner on my dad's computer he has your exact card I think. It works really well. I wish there was such a utility for ATI (well actually Rage3d tweak is great, but the user interface of Riva Tuner a bit nicer in my opinion).

the 'coolbits' driver-level overclocking tool is a bit irritating - the screen does this annoying blinking thing at startup

Rivatuner allows low-level overclocking so you don't get that

reset your clocks to default, and use Rivatuner's low-level clock settings instead of coolbits

it shouldn't get any hotter than if you over clocked with coolbits

Detonator 5.08 - sounds like an ancient driver, Rivatuner should support any Nvidia card
