Thread: Cd-rom Drive Jammed!

    I have a LG DVD/CD-RW

    When I press the eject button, it won't open! When I use a paperclip, It won't open! What can I do to fix it?

    Well if the paperclip won't work then I think you have to open it's case and gently push the tray out with your hand.

    well i have a lg cdrw and when i press the eject button and it jams, i jus restart and it works fine again

    yeah...and if the paperclip don't work, sometimes an application with an "Eject Disc" control will do it.
    but the paperclip should work if you shut down.

    is there CD inside your LG cd/dvd drive now?

    didn't you guys hear? IT"S JAMMED

    this happened to me once. when all methods are all exhausted, brute force is required.

    step 1, from the back of the drive, you should see a metal casing, pry it open with screwdriver. from there, use a flashlight to inspect how the drive is jammed. push the fucking drive tray from the back with the screwdriver until it's unjammed.

    that's how I fixed it...

    Yeah, just open it up and push it out manually.
